Napkin Ring Turned Earring

So, awhile back I told you about our Gourmet Group's Greek Night my husband and I hosted. {And yes, I still owe you lots of ridiculously yummy recipes from that.}

Well, one of the decorating ideas I had for that evening was to make napkin rings of gold and blue to throw in Greek colors, and a little handmade goodness. These were a lot of fun to make.

Materials:
* gold wire for wire-wrapping {Michael's}
* various turquoise stones
* napkin ring

I wrapped the gold wire around the napkin ring and then made a twist to keep the shape/size needed for the napkin to fit through. Then I knotted, added beads, and repeated over and over, wrapping at the end for closure.

Well, after the party I was stuck with 10 of these which great and all, but we already have a couple of sets of very versatile napkin rings so I thought I'd get a little crafty and turn them into earrings for each of the girls! {Of course, I haven't given them to any of the girls yet so keep it a secret!}

A simple addition of some wire and earring hooks and...

No one ever has to know they were napkin rings! Although it does make for a great story. :) P.S. They are available for $9/pair on my website. Pass it on.

Ring-a-ling, a-ling!

Okay, is it silly that my stomach just growled when I looked over my old blog posts and found this Dark Chocolate Muesli recipe?! Not silly if you've tried it - Well worth the growls. ANYway...

I've built it up in my head that I need to have impressive, cleaver, and totally helpful posts for you every time I blog, and thus I just haven't posted lately. My time to blog is usually between the hours of 11pm and 12am when my brain power is very low. Wit and humor aren't the first things flowing from my mind. So, let that be my excuse for my blogging. :)

I'm happy to see so many of you taking advantage of the "10 for $100" ring deal.

So many orders have come in that I ran out of labels - More on order!
Lisa in Washington recently ordered them as her go-to gift for her girl friends. She likes to have things on-hand, rather than having to run out last minute.

Erika in Texas is having her annual Girl's Weekend in San Francisco this year. They gift each other little trinkets when they get together - "It's usually treats, laughter and sunshine all weekend long!"

And Christy in Santa Barbara ordered them for a bachelorette party in Vegas. Thanks for the picture of you and your gals enjoying the rings!

They're just so simple and fun. What else is like that for you?

Fall Into New Ring Colors

I couldn't figure out which ring to wear yesterday so I put them all on. Didn't work out so well, but my kids thought I looked "sooo mommy pretty" that I had to take a picture.

Rainbow of Ring Goodness
You might notice there are a few new colors in the bunch. Every one should be up on the website

Some really fun new Fall colors...

Are you missing your favorite color? If so, let me know and I'll try to bring it to you.

And, some of you have asked perspective between the ring sizes. Here's a pic to help you.

Does your daughter need a little send-off ring to help her remember mama's always thinking of her while she's in her new grade?
